SERVICES

01.

As your experience designer, I craft the emotional journey of your celebration, transforming your wedding from a beautiful event into an immersive story that guests will feel connected to from start to finish.

02

GUESTS WILL SAY IT WAS THE BEST WEDDING EVER. AND MEAN IT.

Why add an experience designer to your wedding team?

An experience designer works alongside the wedding planner, handling the emotional and narrative aspects while the planner manages the practical details.

This collaborative approach leads to weddings that guests describe as "unlike any other" and "felt exactly like the couple." The investment pays off through deeper guest engagement, more meaningful memories, and a celebration that goes beyond pretty to become truly transformative.

Create moments that surprise and delight

Beyond pretty photos, design unexpected touchpoints that engage all senses and ensure practical details serve a deeper purpose.

Turn guests from spectators into participants

Craft experiences that connect loved ones to the journey in meaningful ways.

Find the sweet spot between tradition and personalization

Honor what matters while creating fresh experiences that reflect who you are today and discover meaningful elements that make your celebration authentically yours.

THE PROCESS

I have a simple signature framework that I use for experience design that seamlessly integrates into your current workflow. The Experience Design Foundation covers Steps 1 & 2 of the framework, while the Full Experience Design Services covers all four. You can see how all the pieces fit together in actual weddings by checking out our Case Studies. If you want to learn more about this framework and learn it for yourself, please consider joining an upcoming training retreat.

Guiding Intention & Core Meaning

We start out by defining the meaningful outcome you want guests to come away with and the Guiding Intention of the event, the bold vision statement for the event which acts like a compass, aligning every decision from the smallest details to who to invite.

Design Pillars

From there we highlight the experience design pillars that resonate most. From designing for Belonging and Connection, to Play, Magic, and Awe, we choose the elements that act as the foundation for the experience journey guests will have. You can get the full list of Experience Design Pillars for free here.

Target Emotions

Then we deep dive into how you want guests to feel at each stage of the journey, from when they first hear about it, to the moment they walk through the door, to the final moments as they say their goodbyes, and even when they remember it later. We get really specific. Not just “we want them to feel at welcome” when they enter, but, “we want them to feel like everyone has been waiting just for them.”

Touchpoints & Moments

Guided by your intention and emotions, we then design several possible touchpoints, rituals, moments, and experiences that trigger the emotions you want guests to feel, across the entire journey, and including tangible extensions that prolong the experience through reminiscence and reflection. You will receive many more ideas than are feasibly possible to implement, but you choose the ones that resonate most and that fit effortlessly into the flow of the event.
